For the CHALLENGE

Each day, each experience, brings new challenges, making the career of an RT a rewarding path to choose.

Every day at work presents a new challenge. I know I’m going to be there Monday through Friday, but I don’t know what every day is going to bring to me. There is always a patient that needs something unique.

So the challenge comes with being in critical situations, making instantaneous decisions about life and death in that moment, and then going to the very next patient and maybe just educating them on their smoking cessation, or educating them on their disease process and then going directly to another situation where you may have a infant delivery that was premature and you’re in another critical situation.

So I think any career in health care is challenging. There’s constantly new literature coming out, new studies, new devices that we can use to help enhance people’s life or to even save their life.
