This toolkit will give you a head start on providing insight, education, and assets to those visiting your Be An RT booth at whatever HOSA event you are at or hosting. If you have any questions regarding this toolkit or how to use it, please contact [email protected].

How to Get Started

If you’re looking to get involved with a HOSA chapter in your area, HOSA recommends connecting with the State Advisors for each of their Chartered Associations. Reaching out to your HOSA State Advisor will help you find and host an event in your state/local area.

Once you’ve made the connection with your state advisor and found an event you would like to host, you can get a head start on planning by taking advantage of the assets we’ve provided below. If you need help with assets, reach out to the AARC at [email protected]

Be An RT and MoreRTs Cards

These cards can be printed out and handed to students attending your event. The cards include a QR code to both the Be An RT website and the MoreRTs website, so that students can learn more about the profession.

Be An RT Survey Cards

These are a ready to use card for students and educators to fill out, so that you might collect information from attendees. These surveys can be attendees’ ticket to enter a raffle drawing.

HOSA Workshop Outline

Do you plan on hosting a workshop at your event? We’ve created an outline for an existing workshop structure for you to use.

HOSA Workshop Presentation

This Be An RT branded presentation is to be used for the 5-minute presentation during your workshop. Please use this presentation and feel free to edit to your liking.

Follow Up

Following up is an important part of hosting an event. Don’t let all of your hard work go without reward. Here are just a few examples of ways you can follow up with attendees.

  • Follow up via email with the contacts you collect from the survey
  • Write a personal thank you to all who helped you put together the event
  • Write an email to your HOSA State Advisor letting them know how your event went
  • Meet with your team to discuss things that went well and things that can be improved upon
  • Reach out to the [email protected] and share photos from your event with us
